Cobalt DOES offer such options. We have a 30 day product exchange and even
money back guarantee ! After the first 30 days, you can either ship the
unit back to us for repair, use a restore cd if the software's broken
(provided free of charge if you haven;t voided the software guarantee) or
alternatively you can add 'spare in the air' to your cobalt for I believe
$210, which means that we will courier a new machine to you if your machine
dies.

Anyway, if you experience problems you should always contact the
manufacturer for support, which you did not as far as I know and our
support systems show.

Please contact me personally  if you still feel Cobalt's support is not
'good enough.

Dear Cobalt

When I buy a Microwave and this thing is faulty, the suppliers simply swop
it out.  You do not seem to have such options.  I think Cobalt products are
pretty useless because there is no after sales support available anywhere
in
the world.  We have tried all avenues without any luck at all.  Maybe the
product is so bad that Cobalt cannot afford to give support on it.

The normal Qube restore CD is only available in English. We do have two
versions for the Qube2, one in French and one in German.
The restore CD indeed is $99. It includes normal shipping. If you want to
receive it by Courier, the shipping costs are added.
Note these are prices handled by Cobalt Emea and these might not be
applicable in other territories.

Using a Cobalt APPLIANCE should not require a restore CD at any times. See
it as an additional service. I guess you didn't get the circuit layout and
firmware bios of your microwave oven free of charge as well. And in case
you need it and you haven't voided your software guarantee, we in Europe
provide it free of charge.

Hello
Does anybody know of a reseller I can purchase the Qube 2 restore CD from
in Europe ?
Does the CD cover all languages ?
Also (just stating my humble opinion), I was wondering what list members
think about having to pay $99 for a CD (shipping not included I am sure...)
? It's like buying a Windows PC and not getting the CD for windows.. Some
manufacturers were doing that but you had at least a disk image on the
HD... I don't mind paying for the shipping/blank-CD/time, but $99 sounds a
lot for something you already paid (the machine came with the OS..).
I agree that for people with a bunch of Raq's, $99 is not a lot/Raq, but
for one Qube..well maybe I am too cheap !!
