there may be some scripts. see linuxberg.org. if you are a bit
experienced with shell scripts, it`s not very complicated writing one.

the info is in /proc/cpuinfo and /proc/avgload (or similar). for some
days i tried to impress my collegues getting an hourly info on my cell
phone containing the actual cpu temperature ;-)
