I don't mean any offense by this, but where was your backup?
That is precisely the reason why it is important to have a good backup
routine, as well as why I've been saying RAID is required if you only have
one web server (i.e. you're not load balancing and have a hot spare online).

I remember looking at Alabanza not too long ago and wasn't really very
impressed. That'd be cool if they have a good product. I do agree that
competition is good, especially in this market when Cabalt is the defacto
leader in 'server appliances'.

Hopefully the Raq4 will bridge a bit of the gap--it would have really saved
a lot of time (and money) in your situation.
