Re: [cobalt-users] Webmin on Raq3i

The biggest benefit that I get from it is in dealing with mail issues. I
find the information that Webmin gives me for Sendmail to be very useful.
One of the things I really like is being able to click on a user's mailbox
and see if there is any mail in it. True, I could do the same thing from
the command line, but this is sure easier. As far as Apache goes, you can do
all sorts of spiffy things with the permissions and CGI scripting and such.
I also like the ease with which I can change the cron jobs and monitor
running processes. There are too many good things about it to really list
them all here.

I certainly wouldn't consider Webmin a replacement for the GUI, but it is
sure a nice enhancement to it. Personally, I think newbies (like me) will
gain more from Webmin than a seasoned Linux guru, but it is a pretty solid
product worth taking a look at IMHO.

PS - someone else asked about installation. The Redhat RPM installed in
about 2 minutes without any problems.
