The standard proftpd.conf on the raq doesn't come with any
lines for timeouts (don't know why)
Just add the line
TimeoutNoTransfer 1800
if you want to increase the time for your ftp-client
to stay connected (1800s = 30 min - just an example)
For all the other descriptions on different timeouts
take a look at http://www.proftpd.net/docs/configuration.html
By the way - you don't have to restart your ftp-server after
changing the configuration. It will be reread at every new
ftp-session. (As long as it runs in inetd)
