[cobalt-users] How to install BIND on RAQ2?

I have looked through all the archives and the KB, but no where does it
explain how to update BIND on a RAQ2.  I see everywhere that I need to
update it, but nothing on how to do it!  So I download the latest, and then
untared it.  Now there are lots of directories and a makefile.  I know very
little about administering a RAQ system, but I do know if you mess with too
much you will screw up their "special sauce" and void the warranty.  Because
of this, I am afraid to just run the makefile and see what happens.

Can anyone please direct me on the easiest, fastest, safest way to update my
BIND?
