Your right on needing the OS Restore CD from Cobalt. I found them very
responsive when I needed it. I had it less than 12 hours after the request.
I went from the original Seagate to a Western Digital 14 or 18 Gig drive
(Not sure of the size, I would have to look up my notes) There was no hitch
at all. I had backed up my site and data using the web interface and on the
restore all I needed to do was recreate the sites and then restore the data
to them. Pretty simple even for a Linux novice like me. If you are hosting
many sites it might be a chore and there very well may be a better way.

Subject: [cobalt-users] Replacing HD in Raq3?
Question from a Linux newbie:
I am interested in replacing the existing Seagate 8 gig drive in a RaQ3
with a 20 gig drive.
Knowing that the Linux OS is picky about the specific brand and size of
drive and such, how difficult would this be? I suspect that it would
require having the OS CD from Cobalt, but outside of that, what else would
be involved (other than copying the files, etc.)
Thanks!!
