Now this could well be a dumb idea - but it is done on some other platforms:
I would like to be able to create a directory on one of my sites that a user
from another site can ftp code/html etc into. The reason for this is to be
able
to link to a certificate protected site for secure processing from out of a
name
based site - without getting the popup on the certificate.
ie
I have a certificate for site secure.mydomain.com on an IP based site
I have some name based sites on the above ip.
I would like a site administrator on one of my name based sites to be able
to
upload into say secure.mydomain.com/usersite (and only that directory). When
they then want secure processing they can link to that domain/directory to
process. As the code/html is being executed from the proper secure site then
no certificate popup should occur.
Is this feasible, sensible, achievable and does it raise enormous security
issues ?
cheers
