Hi all
A couple of weeks ago gave out some info about using vmware (www.vmware.com)
to get over the problem with network card. All i got was a few sarcastic
coments. However for anyone interested here what you do:
Go to www.vmware.com and grab a 30 day trial. i think you need to be running
nt or 2000
2 instal it
3 reboot
4 run vmware and run the setupwizard telling it you want to run virtual
linux
5 insert your restore disc in a bootable drive.
6 click on virtual machine and you will get what you normally get when you
boot from the restore cd. except this time it is in a virtual window and
does not care about the type of network card you are using
This will work as i have just used it on my unsupported network card
Regards Andy
