Thanks Zeffie - i've updated the DNS to give it a try - taken out the PTR
records on the test domain that I want redirected. I assume I don't take out
the PTR on the host domain that is actually doing the redirecting - or do I?

There won't be anything else on this ip but a redirect script and some test
systems so it should be ok

thanks for the suggestion (by the way how long does it take to have the
change of an ip in the DNS reflected in the real world so that the domain
hits the right place - i changed the A records a while ago and the name is
still resolving to the old A ip address - I've rebooted my server since then
as well)
