RE: [cobalt-users] PTR's

I am new at this, so someone with more knowledge should double check what I
had to do with a similar problem, and see if it will solve beautytechs NS
problem.

If interiliant has issued you a block of IP's, they need to make you the
authoritative for your block of addresses, i.e. 209.196.37.201-255, or
whatever #'s they have allotted you.

they need to put in something like this after the SOA record
in their zone file:

37.196.209.in-addr.ARPA. IN NS ns.intereliant.net (or whatever their ns
servers are)
37.196.209.in-addr.ARPA. IN NS ns2.intereliant.net
37.196.209.in-addr.ARPA. IN NS ns3.intereliant.net

or if you are going to do the reverses

37.196.209.in-addr.ARPA. IN NS dns1.beautytech.com
37.196.209.in-addr.ARPA. IN NS dns2.beautytech.com

and then they need to create a separate zone file for that
zone on their servers if they are doing it - it looks like
you already have them set up on your side.

Once they have set you up for reverse DNS on your block of IP's, it should
resolve to your nameservers.

I went to Network Solutions and registered them...
