Check your list of domains in the Email control panel. It's possible that
this virtual site somehow wasn't added correctly to allowed domains. I get a
strange error in an attempt to verify an address there:
> VRFY root@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
252 Cannot VRFY user; try RCPT to attempt delivery (or try finger)
> MAIL FROM: <dkriw@xxxxxxxxxxx>
250 <dkriw@xxxxxxxxxxx>... Sender ok
> RCPT TO: <root@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
550 <root@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>... Relaying denied. Please POP before sending.
> EXPN root@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
502 Sorry, we do not allow this operation
But, when I try this:
> VRFY root@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
252 Cannot VRFY user; try RCPT to attempt delivery (or try finger)
> MAIL FROM: <dkriw@xxxxxxxxxxx>
250 <dkriw@xxxxxxxxxxx>... Sender ok
> RCPT TO: <root@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
250 <root@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>... Recipient ok
> EXPN root@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
502 Sorry, we do not allow this operation
I'm not sure if you need a CNAME for your mail server record that you're
using for that domain, or what the problem may be.
