sendmail -q ;-)

You can also move the files into another directory and then run a
second instance of sendmail to process that queue with the -OQ 
options.

Finally, if you don't already have it, the bat book is a must read.
Granted, it may take several hundred readings to feel comfortable
with the tome. :)
