Yes, many of us do care.

Newer doesn't mean better. I use the most appropriate tools available to
me. When
I'm on my Windows machine I can read HTML emails, when I'm on my Unix
machines I
cannot. In any case, common curtousy dictates that I *never* send an
email to a list
in anything, but plain text.

I don't want to argue, but I do want to point out that the majority of the
most
knowledgeable members of this list are not able to (or do not want to)
read HTML
emails. They also prefer replies after trimmed, quoted messages or
interspersed with
quotes. And these are the people who you want to give up their valuable
time for
free to help you. Whether they're right or wrong is unimportant. Play by
their
rules or you'll find your questions will fall upon deaf ears.
BTW, I don't think you've really achieved a level of status on this list
to tell us
when to "give it up" without coming across as an a*s.
