Yup...and I added my typo just to confuse things more ;-) You've got the
correct syntax now.

Nothing to compile with CRON. It's just a scheduling tool that will run at
specified intervals. If you have scripts located in your
/etc/cron."interval" directories then they will simply be actioned at that
next interval. What you have here is a shell script, like a perl script, it
does not need compiling as it is interpreted when actioned ("run").
