nice script.

tried it (without changing logrotate first), but it processes only data
for the "home" site. 

did not debug it examine it further, i let it only print out $line and
$file in the while loop; they are correct. i assume a buggy array or
missing loop ?

maybe it has been crippled somewhere, because $version is defined but
not used ?
