[cobalt-users] .offset Log files ??

Hi,

in the /var/log/ directory of my RaQ 3i i see three files

messages.offset
secure.offset
maillog.offset

and don`t remember to have them seen before. They belong to
root, and contain two lines containing a numbers.

Any idea what this could be ? I can imagine that these are files in
which logcheck defines what parts of the logfiles have been
processed, but i`m not sure. any hints ?
