Excuse me, but your HTML-background pictures are unwanted in a mailinglist. Before I was wondering why one email needs so much download-time, but here's the answer: Aliens in the Mail!

To your question: Yes, that works. Use a form processor CGI (or as PHP). You can find some at www.hotscripts.com
