"It's not about bandwidth" is what always comes up in this debate.
Perhaps the point about netiquette is better made about a "trivial offence"
than something that is obviously out of order.

Which is *why* - even if it's only a one-liner question and a one-liner
answer - top-posting is a bad idea.

I'd disagree with you, Kris. It always used to be known that quote then post
is the way to do it. But then, people used to lurk and observe for a while
before joining in.
