try pico

pico is an easy to use text basic text editor, and is pre-installed on RaQ3's.

Most sysadmins will tell you that you really need to know how to use vi,
even if it is not your preferred editor. vi will sometimes be your last,
best, only hope of saving the day.

Of course, I am myself struggling to learn vi. Although, vi does not seem
any harder to use than WordStar was, you just need to spend the time to
wrap your brain around it.
