I asked this question yesterday, but I guess I need a little more help.
What happens it that our RaQ3 denies email relay for any recipient outside
of our domain, no matter what I put in the "Relay for the following
host/domains" box in the Management Console. I have gotten two different
suggestions:
1. Telnet to the RaQ3 as root, put "ourdomain.com RELAY" in the
/etc/mail/access file, hash access and restart sendmail.
2. Telnet to the RaQ3 as root, open the /etc/sendmail.cf file and add
"ourdomain.com" to the line:
# "Smart" relay host (may be null)
DS
After the DS, ie: DSourdomain.com
I would appreciate suggestions or ideas as to which of these is the right
way to go about this, and perhaps some more detail on how to use the vi
editor to edit and save the access and sendmail.cf files. I don't want to
open up the RaQ to spam, but I want users to be able to send email outside
our domain.
Help? Please?
Mark.
