Probably not. However, with Portsentry running the scan
would not reveal as many vulnerabilities as an unprotected machine
would. This tends to make the protected machine less attractive than
an unprotected machine.
The concept is similar to locking the front door of your
home when you leave. A lock isn't going to stop a professional
burgler from rooting around in your home, but it might stop the
neighbor's kid from walking in and having a party while you're out
trying to make a living.
