[cobalt-users] RaQ3 - admin not responding to port 81

A few days ago I made a change to httpd.conf to try to enable more detailed
logging.

After I made the change and restarted apache, the web services were not
responding for normal webpages, but cobalt admin was working fine.

I got on the phone with cobalt tech support and we were able to get the
normal webpages responding after repairing the httpd.conf file back to its
original state (I believe anyway). The problem is that the admin is not
responding.

I got word from cobalt last night that they can fix the problem for me. But
it would be $200 minimum for them to do so, since I have installed '3rd
party' applications on the RaQ (ColdFusion and MySQL).

I'd be happy to supply the contents of any conf file that may be helpful in
locating the problem (without spending $200).

The error that is showing up in /home/log/httpd/error is:

[Mon Jun 5 11:00:21 2000] [crit] (98)Address already in use: make_sock:
could not bind to port 80

when I look at 'top -M', I can only see one httpd process running as root
(there should be two correct?)

TIA, this is a learning experience!
