I have portsentry running on five servers here and
I've installed it for dozens of clients. It's the second thing I
install on a server before putting it online - logcheck is the
first.
Basic - we're talking bare minimum here - requires a log
checker, a port sentry and a base line thingy (tripwire, triplite,
etc). All three items are really easy to install and, well, every
server on the Internet ought to have at least this.
I'm new to these RaQs - only had our's a couple of
weeks. Pico is installed on the one's we bought. Thus it might be on
your's. Try typing pico at the command line.
