Actually you should be able to do this via the interface if you don't mind
it pointing to something like home/sites/site3/web/
Just set up the cname in your dns
Create the site via the interface using "caelie" (in this instance) as your
host name instead of www and you're all set. If you want to change the
directory then just go edit your config file to point it to the correct one
and restart apache.
By the way, this solves the Front Page temp site problem I've been working
on. Check out that thread for more.
