The two situations are not related. The errors you are
getting in your mail logs are the result of your upstream not have
delegated authority for the IP addresses you were assigned. This
means that reverse lookups won't work as the IP address cannot
resolve to a domain name. The result is that Sendmail cannot GET the
HOSTname BY the ip ADDRess. While there are some issues involved as
some domains won't not accept mail unless the IP address of the
sending mail server resolves, I wouldn't recomend loosing any sleep
over these errors but I would recomend trying to talk your upstream
into delegating authority to you - for no other reason than it's the
right thing to do.
As for you mail problem, It's the result of you're trying to
run two user accounts with the same user name. It just won't
work.
The way around this is pretty simple though. Assuming you
have two clients that want the user name sales, give both clients
some other user name (as in login user name) then simply create a
sales@xxxxxxxxxxx and sales@xxxxxxxxxxx alias for each respective
client in their respective accounts. Quite simply, the User Names
must be different for each and every user on the machine. However,
as long as the domain names are different for each and every
instance, you can have a sales@... for each account you host simply
by creating the email address as an alias rather than as a User
Name.
Peace be with you,
