I know exactly what you mean.
Personally I already tried to restore the RaQ server with other cards rather
than a 3C515, unfortunately to find out that I had no luck with at least 4
different NICs.
In the end of my case, I found out that it was pretty much more expensive to
keep trying to save those $140.00
I ended buying a beautifull and expensive 3C515 that is now called inside the
office "the luxury restoration device", very often used, as Cobalt empowers us
to restore and restore and restore.
