[cobalt-users] rerouting mail to a specific user

Yes, it will work, but it violates the rules of how the aliases file
should be setup, and is therefore likely to break in future versions
of the operating system (or sendmail, specifically). The correct way
to do this is by adding a directive in /etc/mail/sendmail.cw. Mine says:

define(`LUSER_RELAY', `local:argv')dnl

this reroutes all mail not resolved to something else to the local user
argv (me).  You then have run run /etc/mail/sendmailconfig to reinitialize
the config file you just edited.

Unfortunately, this may go away if you use the GUI to edit mail parameters
in the future, but we've already covered that shortcoming of Cobalt.
