RE: [cobalt-users] Backup Problem

Hi All, this is how I backup my raq.

I have an ftp server setup on one of my pc's on the network.
ftpbacup ver 2.1 (http://ftp.univ-aix.fr/pub/linux/sunsite/system/backup/)
is installed in my raq.
I have a perl cgi that calls ftpbackup for each virtual site
the combination tars up the files and ftp's them to my
ftp server.
My tape system backs up the tar'd files every day.

If I need to restore a file for any of the sites, I simply open the
correct tar'd file on my pc with WinZip, extract the file and upload it.

I know that some of the raq's use site numbers rather than names,
so you need to keep track of which site is which so that you can
easily locate the correct tar'd files.

The system works a like a breeze.
