Or use your gui and go to maintenance then install software, there you
will see what's installed. I thought that was pretty cool for those of us
less proficient.

the current bind version is 8.2.2 patch level 5. You can tell
which level your system is on by looking at /usr/doc/bind*
If you have the directory /usr/doc/bind-8.2.2_P5/ you're fine.
If not, update your bind using the URL above.
