Well, I don't know if it's possible... but what I'd suggest that you all
do is try to uninstall any changes that were made by your attempt and try
to do the install afresh. I'm not a unix guru... and I did the
installation of the two packages from the command prompt as root per the
instructions from the cobalt site and they worked without a problem.
i don't recall if I had to modify httpd.conf... although I did make the
modification of adding index.php3 at the end of the directorylisting
thing.... whatever it's actually called.
