Rebooting a linux/unix box is almost never a good idea unless it's
locked up.
If a system is running slow find out why. All the tools exist. Read
some good books on systems administration. Check all the logs. Look
(using # ps aux) to see what's being run and by whom.
Learn what's causing the problem, and fix it. Much better idea.
The reason we reboot MS systems is because they lock up. We shouldn't
get in the habit of rebooting. Aside from everything else, if we reboot
often enough, it starts to really add up as minutes of nonavailability.
