I'd create a symbolic link that says 'website' or something and takes them
to the normal web site.

This has definitely been covered in the archives, and I believe in the
knowledge base.  I think you can fairly easily modify the proftp.conf to do
this.

Perhaps providing a FAQ or instructions to your users would also be a good
solution.
