If I understand well, you mean telnet in one machine and ftp to the other one..That's an option (I thought about it) but that means you need to have telnet access to at least one of the machine which might not be true with some ISP's. Also, unless you have ssh, this is not very secure to telnet for an ftp session betwen two remote servers.
