Guys,
Why is samba on a Qube2 so slow with many files in one directory?
In fact it is much slower than a Win98SE workstation sharing a directory
to peers.
I have searched the mail archives on samba.org ... the question is asked
alot, but not really answered.
Does anyone know if there is a way to make it work faster or is the only
solution to reorganise the data so that there aren't lots of files in one
directory?
Cheers, Malcolm
