OK, Lets see if I got this straight.
You want to set up a site, not make a DNS entry, load all the files, check it out and then
make it "live".
Why?
Whether the site is "live" somewhere else doesn't matter! Just set up the site using the
GUI and give it whatever DNS and IP you want it to be when it goes "live" on your server,
upload all your files using the IP address you assigned it and test the site. No problem.
You see the site isn't "live" on your machine untill YOU make your DNS the AUTHORITATIVE
one. No one is going to look at your server for the site, so set it up and play with it
to your hearts content.
Then change the DNS with internic et al and traffic will go to your box.
By the way, with the tone your using, most people should ignore you!
