If everyone was quiet we wouldn't learn anything.  It is important to share 
your thoughts so that #1) others can think about your idea's and learn from 
you #2) others can criticize and help you learn.

I would agree with you if we were speaking about someones social status or 
personal feelings (because you truely don't know where people are coming 
from), but I think you do not understand the meaning of the quote you seem to 
like to use.  Your quote is rather ignorant.
