[cobalt-users] RAQ 3 server - using non assigned IP address

I have a new RAQ3 that has been running correctly 'on the shelf' for 3
weeks.
Installed it last Friday together with some other kit and at the time it
worked correctly.
Yesterday it decided to answer requests to another IP address as well as its
own.
it wouldn't have mattered as much but the IP address in question belonged to
our RAQ2 and effectively knocked it off the network. Currently it is turned
off.
The configuration utilities don't mention the 'other' Ip address at all.
I have checked /etc/hosts and all the networking files that I can think of
but can't see an answer.
Any ideas gratefully received as this box is currently 250 miles away in
London in a locked cabinet and I don't want to go and see it without a good
idea of how to fix it!
Anyone have a complete list of all the places these things hide their IP
addresses?
