Well it depends... I just got done specing out options for our new server.

On the low end is the Dell Poweredge 2450 and the VA Linux Full-on 2X2.
They are really decent systems, and will run you about $6500 fully
configured (i.e. 512M, 2X18GB UW SCSI Hard Drives, ~600Mhz processor, Tape
Drive).  That is a small price to pay for the advantages you get.

On the high end is the HP LPr and the Sun Netra T1.  Those'll set you back
about $8000 and $9000 respectively for a similar configuration (the Sun's
proccy is a UltraSparc--64bit, but only like 360Mhz.  Which isn't a slow
proccessor, let me tell you).
