RE: [cobalt-users] VIRUS? Bad MAC Addr Test Failed! when restoring from OS Restore CD....



Ah... I see..

I was never infected by this virus, as I have outlook set to the maximum for
security settings and it never ran that ActiveX control on my machine that
was in the *original* email sent by Daniel Pumphrey, but when I clicked on
Reply, outlook didn't strip it to plaintext and the reply included the virus
in the original.  However, since my personal outlook was never displaying or
running the ActiveX, I was never infected.... I just forwarded on the
infection.

Sorry about that, I'll remember to strip my replys if the original has HTML.
Anyone infected should definitely set their outlook settings to maximum
security and get a good virus scanner.  These habits saved me from being
infected.
