RE: [cobalt-users] Bad MAC Addr Test Failed! when restoring from OS Restore CD....

What machine do you have and where did you get it from?

If the LCD displays "Bad MAC Addr", then it's a leftover of the manufacturing tests that are the core of the OS restore CD which are checking the unit for the correct vendor ID in the MAC address.
The only units I know of that have non-Cobalt vendor IDs were beta 2700WG units that we built before the IEEE assigned us a MAC address vendor ID.

Subject: [cobalt-users] Bad MAC Addr Test Failed! when restoring from OS Restore CD....

Was curious if anyone has ever gotten this error when restoring from the OS Restore CD?  Not sure if it doesn't like the MAC address of my cobalt or the machine I have the restore CD in?  Cobalt's Knowledge base has no information when searching for Bad MAC Addr or Bad MAC Address - when I search on MAC Address I get non relevant articles.

Thanks
Daniel
