[cobalt-users] [Qube] proxy server question

I'm setting up a qube 2700wg for a small non-profit office and am trying
to get apache working as a proxy server so they can have web access.
I've added a second ethernet card and installed Kernel Upgrade 1.0 so
the box would recognize the card.
The machine has the following software installed
Cobalt Kernel Upgrade Release 1.0
Cobalt OS Patch Release 3.0
Cobalt OS Release 2.2
Shell History Patch Release 1.1
When I set "ProxyRequests On" for apache I got the error "invalid
request". As far as I can tell proxy support is not built into the
version shipped with the Qube (it is 1.2.5-6).
How can I enable proxy support? Is there an RPM available with it
already? Or do I need to build apache from sources?
A second question -- I also considered turning on IP Masquerading and
not bothering with a proxy server. However, the standard kernel appears
to not have that build in either (I get the error "ipfwadm: setsockopt
failed: Protocol not available").
How can I enable masquerading? Is there an RPM or pkg available? I
don't think I want to build a kernel as I don't know what options
they've included in this one.
cheers,
