It's been a while for me but my installation of mysql and php3 a few
months ago from the rpm files on the cobalt site was not a problem at all!
I thought it would be, though. If you can, make a backup copy of your
system, bite the bullet and go install it. The instructions say that one
must be installed before thhe other. i don't remember which is to go first
and I don't know what happens if you do them out of order...

No guarantees from me but I'm not a trained administrator and I got it
workin'!
