Thanks Randy...that helped, a little. At least I can get the mail to send
from the shell.
The problem is this:
I have one nameserver set up, the primary nameserver. That holds the
records for this domain, which has its site on another server, which just
happens to be the secondary nameserver for the operation. I have the
domain's record on the primary nameserver pointing to its IP number on the
second server...and I have a record stating secondary server for the domain
on the secondary server (the same one the domain is housed on). I'm at my
wit's end, (once again) with these machines. What should be a relatively
simple setup, apparently is not. I can't connect to the mail server either
www.domain.com or domain.com with any email client.
Problem two, besides that, I have enabled Accept Email for Domain but yet,
I cannot send mail from the primary server (while in the shell) to anything
but the www.domain.com address.
I just don't get this set up at all with the mail. Is it possible that the
zone file for the domain MUST reside on the same machine that the domain is
hosted on??? I don't know, I'm just grasping at straws at this point.
