I went with BW Whois (http://bw.org). It automatically extracts the
registrar of a domain, then asks that registrar for additional info
regarding the domain name. It can also be used as a cgi binary without
modification which is kind of nifty, plus you can throw a switch at it to
silence NetSol's disclaimer.
