RE: [cobalt-users] DNS Naming resolution - Raq Newbie

Yea that's it
I guess there is no way around it.

One more question What is a sub delegate Domain and how can I name a cluster
of servers www. so they respond to the www request as opposed to machine
name. It doesn't matter if the host name changes then. Right?

How do you have yours setup?
Imp trying to have multiple name like mail www and pop on the same raq for
user ease. The ideal setup would be to have the raq respond to www for http,
ftp for ftp, mail for smtp and pop for pop3 mail also news for nntp. Any
suggestions?

John,

I'm not sure what you'er saying, but if you're saying is that you type
in www.domain.com but your browser location bar is changing it to
machinename.domain.com, then I've already answered it a few posts ago.

Your hostname is what will show in the browser location bar. There's no
away around that that doesn't break the cobalt gui way of accessing the
siteadmin and useradmin pages.
