RE: [cobalt-users] [RaQ2] Ultimate Bulleting Board (UBB)

I am also interested in a solution for this problem.
we run 4 BB sites all of which took a p2-450 w/640megs of mem to handle it
with a load avg of 3.
now that I moved just one of them to the raq2 (which is also handling our
email and dns) I get cpu critical warning all the time. I am having to
bring in the old server to handle these BB's until i can either find a
better one or write my own in CF.

I told him to look into PHP, but I guess it would be quite a chore to move
over to that. I'm not sure how long they archive posts. The main purpose of
it is to get banner views. I gather they're getting about 60 to 100K per day
so it adds up.
If someone takes a look at the site and has a PHP bulletin board solution
they'd like to sell them, contact me off list and I'll put you in touch. If
you can demonstrate a performance gain, I know he'll listen.
