Hello,
I was reading postings with regard to this. My
server setup seems to be working fine. I have set up as
follows; (I am not a GURU, but a novice.
Please DONOT ask more technical questions as I don't understand
these anyway.)
I created A records pointing to ip address as
follows.
yourdomain.com
ip.add.re.ss Opted for automatic Reverse lookup
record.
www.yourdomain.com
same ip address No reverse lookup record
Created MX records as follows:
yourdomain.com
mail server is www.yourdomain.com
I am logging into the server using yourdomain.com
as mail server in the client setup (MS outlook) for incoming and outgoing mail
server. (also, using www.yourdomain.com
as mail server works.)
This setup is working fine. I can receive mails xys@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx and/or xys@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.
