[cobalt-users] deleting -access and .log

I deleted a couple access logs, specifically combined-access and error and then touched them and they no longer record?  I followed
the instructions, simply rm combined-access and then touch combined-access and now the combined-access sits at 0  did I do something
wrong?  Also, I have several .log files that are huge, and I want to delete them but am afraid they will stop recording as well.

This is on a RAQ2

any help?
