Has anyone successfully installed webalizer on their server? I'm trying
to get webalizer working on mine and I'm worried I might lockup the
server if I don't do this right. I need to monitor the bandwidth of my
users. Could someone who has successfully installed this on their system
just steer me in the right direction. The following is what I need to
know for a binary installation.
I placed the following files in the
/usr/bin/webalizer-2.00-11-linuxelf/ directory
webalizer
webalizer.png
msfree.png
country-codes.txt
webalizer.LSM
I placed the following files in the /usr/local/man/man1/
directory
webalizer.1
I placed the following files in the /home/sites/site1/web/stats/
directory
webalizer.conf
webalizer.hist (is this self generated or do I have to create it or
do I even have to have this on a RAQ3?)
Also, does the index.html in the stats directory self generate or
something I create before running?
I placed the following files in the /etc/cron.daily/
directory
webstats.site1.cron
webstats.site2.cron
webstats.site3.cron
etc...
with the following /usr/bin/webalizer -Q -c
/home/sites/site*/web/stats/webalizer.conf -o
/home/sites/site*/web/stats/
webalizer.conf
These are the options that I have questions about:
#LogFile
/home/sites/site*/logs/web.log
#LogType clf
#OutputDir
/home/sites/site*/web/stats/
#HistoryName webalizer.hist
#Incremental no
I'm not sure what options should be used in the webalizer.conf
file. If it would not be to much trouble, could someone send an example
of theirs for a RAQ2 or RAQ3. This would help tremendously.
Sorry for being such a newbie at this but Im learning fast.
